Patients often use “Botox” and “filler” interchangeably, but the two work in completely different ways.
Neuromodulators relax movement
They temporarily soften the muscles that create expression lines, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. They don’t add volume.
Fillers restore structure
Fillers add volume where it has been lost or where definition is wanted, such as cheeks, lips or the jawline.
Often, the answer is both
Many natural-looking results come from combining small amounts of each. Your provider will explain what each one contributes before you decide.
