About this treatment
Intense pulsed light (IPL) uses filtered light energy to target pigment and small visible vessels. Over a series of sessions, it can reduce sun spots and redness so your skin looks more even.
How it works
A cool gel is applied and the handpiece delivers short pulses of light. Most patients describe a quick snapping sensation. Brown spots darken and flake away over the following week.
What to expect
✓ A series of two to four sessions about a month apart
✓ Mild redness for a few hours
✓ Darkened spots that fade within 7–10 days
Is it right for you?
IPL is best for lighter to medium skin tones and is not performed on recently tanned skin. Your provider will confirm suitability at your consultation.
